Dongyuan Elementary School Heads to Hong Kong — The Foundation Sees Them Off
Chairman Hsieh Nan-Chiang personally saw off Dongyuan Elementary School's Little League team as they departed for the Far East Little League Championship in Hong Kong. This was the starting point of the long partnership between the foundation and Dongyuan Elementary School — and 17 years later, in 2025, this Wanhua team would lift the Little League World Series trophy in Williamsport.

Sadaharu Oh Visits — A Two-Generation Baseball Bond
World home-run king Sadaharu Oh visited Taiwan. The friendship Chairman Hsieh Nan-Chiang shares with him dates back to his father Hsieh Kuo-Cheng's era. In 1969, when the Golden Dragons won the Little League World Series, Oh personally wrote a congratulatory letter to Hsieh Kuo-Cheng — one of the most moving Taiwan-Japan baseball stories in the foundation's history.
Golden Dragons Reborn — Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Artifact Exhibition Opens
Marking the 40th anniversary of the 1969 Golden Dragons world championship, the foundation and the CTBA jointly inaugurated "The Golden Dragons Reborn — Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Artifact Exhibition" at Youth Park, displaying Hsieh Kuo-Cheng's autograph from the Williamsport campaign, Sadaharu Oh's congratulatory letter, photographs of overseas Chinese fans, and other treasures.
Golden Dragons 40th Anniversary — Exhibition Tours North, Central, South
Starting in Taipei, the exhibition toured Lide Baseball Stadium in Kaohsiung and Taichung Intercontinental Stadium, bringing Hsieh Kuo-Cheng's story to all of Taiwan.
Asia-Pacific Little League — Chinese Taipei Routs Guam 11-0 to Win
The Asia-Pacific Little League Championship was held in Taipei, where Chinese Taipei crushed Guam to win the regional ticket to the Little League World Series in Williamsport. The foundation chairman personally hosted and witnessed the title.
First Lady Chow Mei-ching Cheers the Boys Three Days Running
First Lady Chow Mei-ching attended the Asia-Pacific Little League Championship three days in a row, personally encouraging the young players after each victory — the highest national affirmation of Little League baseball.
Williamsport Museum — Hsieh Kuo-Cheng's Signature on Permanent Display
Chairman Hsieh Nan-Chiang travelled to the Little League Museum in Williamsport, where he saw the autograph his father had left behind during the Golden Dragons' campaign — now on permanent display. A historic mark left by the Father of Taiwan Baseball on the international stage.

In 1969, while still writing his doctoral dissertation, Hsieh Nan-Chiang answered his father's call to serve as translator, manager, and even laundryman for the Golden Dragons' Williamsport campaign. Director of Japan's Meiji Jingu Museum Visits
Director Iwamoto Yoshitaka of Japan's Meiji Jingu Museum led a delegation of Japanese baseball friends to visit the foundation, discussing with Hsieh Nan-Chiang deeper Taiwan-Japan baseball cooperation — continuing the East Asian baseball diplomacy of the Hsieh Kuo-Cheng era.
Fuxing Elementary — Third Place at the Little League World Series
Kaohsiung's Fuxing Elementary represented Asia-Pacific at the Little League World Series in Williamsport, finishing third in the world. The foundation and Asia-Pacific Director Chou, together with his wife, were on site to cheer — Taiwan's Little League once again on the world stage.
President Ma Ying-jeou Presents the Sports Promotion Award
Chairman Hsieh Nan-Chiang was honored by the National Federation of County and City Sports Associations, with the award presented personally by President Ma Ying-jeou — a defining moment of national-level recognition for the foundation's public service.
Hsieh Nan-Chiang Receives the Sports Council's Gold Award
The Sports Council awarded Hsieh Nan-Chiang its highest annual Sports Promotion Gold Award. Following earlier silver and meritorious-group honors, the gold award symbolizes the highest recognition for advancing baseball.

Father of Taiwan Baseball's Centennial — Memorial Tea on May 2nd
To commemorate Hsieh Kuo-Cheng's centennial, the foundation held a memorial tea on 2 May 2011 at the Ritz Landis Hotel, gathering former Golden Dragons players, baseball elders, and family. That same month, the biography "Play the Best Game of Your Life" was published and the nationwide 5,000-book donation program was launched.
Golden Dragons Alumnus Genji Kaku Returns to Pay Respects
Genji Kaku, a 1969 Golden Dragons player who later became a star pitcher in Japanese professional baseball, returned to Taiwan and made a special visit to the foundation. From 1969 to 2011, a mentor-disciple bond across 42 years and generations.
Centennial Memorial — 5,000 Books Donated Nationwide
To commemorate Hsieh Kuo-Cheng's centennial, the foundation held a memorial at the Ritz Landis Hotel and donated nearly five thousand copies of "Play the Best Game of Your Life" to schools across the country, received by Sports Council Chairman Tai — bringing the Father of Taiwan Baseball's story into every campus.

The biography of Hsieh Kuo-Cheng, the Father of Taiwan Baseball — "Play the Best Game of Your Life" — officially hit shelves at Eslite and other bookstores nationwide. The foundation funded its publication to share his story with more readers.
Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Research Paper Included in "Taiwan's Sports Figures of the Century"
Doctoral candidate Wen Tuo-pin of the National Institute of Sports Research completed his thesis on Hsieh Kuo-Cheng, included in Volume IV of "Taiwan's Sports Figures of the Century" — academia officially writing the Father of Taiwan Baseball into history.
Baseball Hall of Fame Special Contribution Award — Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Inducted Unanimously
The Taiwan Baseball Hall of Fame selected Hsieh Kuo-Cheng as the sole unanimous inductee for its Special Contribution Award — Taiwan baseball's highest tribute to its founding father.

The 39th Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Cup National Little League Championship concluded on 21 April 2019, with Taoyuan's Renshan Elementary claiming the title. Built on solid pitching and hitting, the team went on to represent Chinese Taipei at that year's Asia-Pacific Little League Championship.
