"From this day forward, the Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Cup Little League Championship will be held here in perpetuity."

At the stadium entrance stands the "Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Biography Wall." From now on, every child who walks into this field will first read the story of a man who mortgaged his house in 1969 to fund a baseball trip — and then step onto the diamond to begin a story of their own.

The story of Youth Park through the ages

This land carries a century of Taiwan's memory. Under Japanese rule it was the Kotei-cho military parade ground, nicknamed "Babamachi" for its horse drills. In 1914, Japanese aviator Nojima Ginzo completed Taiwan's first flight demonstration here. It was later converted into the Taipei South Airfield, mirroring Songshan Airport across the city. In 1953 it became a golf course, and on Youth Day 1974 the Executive Yuan handed it to the Taipei City Government to be rebuilt as Youth Park.From parade ground to flight runway to a shrine that nurtures national players — this stadium itself is a story of an era in transition.

Walking into Youth Park Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Memorial Baseball Stadium, the first thing visitors see at the entrance is the "Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Biography Wall". This memorial wall traces in pictures and words the life of Hsieh Kuo-Cheng (1912–1980) and his work for Taiwan baseball — from the meager assets he inherited at the Baseball Committee, to mortgaging his home in 1969 to lead the Golden Dragons to Williamsport, to the opening of the Triple Crown era.

This wall is not only a retrospective; it is an act of transmission — so that every young player walking into this field will remember the elder who devoted his life to Taiwan baseball, walking ahead of them.

A gift from the foundation to the next generation of baseball

Youth Park Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Memorial Baseball Stadium will continue its mission as Taiwan's flagship venue for Little League baseball. The Hsieh Kuo-Cheng Cup National Little League Championship is now permanently anchored here as the stadium's signature event. In ongoing public-private partnership with the Taipei City Sports Department, the foundation will deepen the maintenance of the artificial-turf Little League field, advance international Little League exchanges, fund baseball scholarships, and through the biography wall ensure that the spirit of Hsieh Kuo-Cheng is seen, heard, and remembered by a new generation of players.
